National Arena Swimming League [Division 2 East Ga

Saturday night, saw the Beacon team take part in the National Arena Swimming League [Division 2 East Gala 2] Round 1, which was hosted by Dartford & District SC at Medway Park, Gillingham.
This is a first for the Club, so it was all a bit of an unknown especially as the opposing teams were clubs that Beacon has not raced against in a gala set up; a new challenge for coaches, team managers & swimmers alike.
The gala, also, had a slightly different programme when compared to most interclub galas, apart from the Open 200m IM & the 10/11 year age group racing 50m individuals, all other age groups had to do 100m and all Relays were 4x50m.
Our Swimmers didn't disappoint, especially with a 34 individual races there were 15 PBs [No DQ]. Well done everyone who swam.
There was a fantastic atmosphere & the team were supportive of each other. Roll on Round 2.
